AUGUSTA — “Super Saturday” is coming to Augusta Civic Center.
Thursday’s expected snowstorm has forced Maine Principals’ Association basketball tournament officials to postpone the entire schedule to Friday, with starting times unchanged.
That bumps the Class A championship session originally scheduled for Friday to Saturday afternoon.
It is the second time in as many rounds that the Class D West girls’ basketball tournament has been affected by a forecast of snow.
The new schedule:
Friday, February 20
Class D West girls’ semifinals
Rangeley vs. Searsport, 10:05 a.m.
Richmond vs. Vinalhaven, 11:35 a.m,
Class C West girls’ semifinals
Dirigo vs. Madison, 2:35 p.m.
Maranacook vs. Mountain Valley, 4:05 p.m.
Class C West boys’ semifinals
Dirigo vs. Waynflete, 7:05 p.m.
Winthrop vs. Maranacook, 8:35 p.m.
Saturday, February 21
Class D West girls’ championship, 10:05 a.m.
Class D West boys’ championship, 11:35 a.m.
Class A East girls’ championship, 2:35 p.m.
Class A East boys’ championship, 4:15 p.m.
Class C West girls’ championship, 7:05 p.m.
Class C West boys’ championship, 8:45 p.m.
