For many years, I have attended basketball games at Edward Little High School. I have been disappointed when the students and alumni do not stand and sing the school song. The song has always represented school pride to me.
I might add that my 1960 graduating class celebrates every reunion with a singing of the school song.
Well, on Friday night, Feb. 13, I was so pleased to watch some ELHS students (many were members of the boy’s basketball team) who attended the girl’s basketball game in Augusta, standing and cheering the entire game. But that group of students really made me proud when they linked arms and sang the school song at the end of the game.
I thank them for their display of school pride.
