RANGELEY — Some ski resorts in Maine have shut down or limited operations due to the extremely cold weather and gusty winds.

WMTW-TV reports Saddleback in Rangeley shut down all of the mountain’s lifts Monday. The base temperatures at the mountain was listed at 7 degrees below zero.

There were limited operations at Sunday River and Sugarloaf.

The National Weather Service said a wind chill warning was in effect until 4 p.m. Monday for northern Oxford, northern Franklin and northern and central Somerset counties.
