Longley-Dionne VFW meets Tuesday

LEWISTON — The Longley-Dionne VFW Post 9150 will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the Lewiston Armory on Central Avenue.

All officers and members are encouraged to attend. The meeting will be held on the third floor, back entrance.

Fat Tuesday Pancake Breakfast

LEWISTON — The Root Cellar will hold a special Fat Tuesday Pancake Breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at the Holy Cross Church Hall.

The price is $10 per person and all the proceeds will go to support the ministries of The Root Cellar in Lewiston. Ready yourself for the season of Lent, bring a friend, eat up on all the goodness of a pancake breakfast and enjoy learning about what God is doing in downtown Lewiston.

Lewiston Bridge Club winners

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners of the individual movement at the Lewiston Armory on Feb. 3 were as follows: first/second tie, Marta Clements and David Lock; third/fourth tie, Rosemarie Goodwin and Hazel Glazier.

Winners on Feb. 10 were: first, Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier; second, Paul Sherman and Mike True; third, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; fourth, Claire Lyons and Rosemarie Goodwin.

Games are played every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all social bridge players are welcomed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for more information.
