I grow tired of the daily barrage of “global warming” columns from the so-called news media.
The Associated Press article, “Scientists move doomsday clock” (Jan. 23), demonstrates how global warming ideologues like to prey on the fears of the misinformed to sway public opinion. According to a handful of scientists that the public is supposed to believe, man-made climate change is a bigger threat to humanity than thermonuclear war.
The very concept of a doomsday clock in itself is loathsomely pessimistic and mindful of the Mayan calendar predictions.
Richard Somerville’s statement claiming that “the urgency has nothing to do with politics or ideology” is an insult to the intelligence of people who know better.
