LIVERMORE FALLS — Spruce Mountain Adult Education Center has announced new courses for the spring semester. As always, a wide variety of academic, enrichment and certificate courses will be offered.
Would you like to obtain your Adult Education Diploma or HiSet? The center offers day and evening classes in math, English and other disciplines. Instructors are available to provide flexible scheduling and meet your learning needs.
Enrichment classes will begin Feb. 3. New this semester is Baking Basics, an introduction to pastry arts. Can’t commit to a whole semester? Attend one evening of cooking instruction in one of the following: classic Chinese cooking, Italian home cooking or fusion cooking on one Tuesday evening each, from 5 to 7 p.m.
In addition, the center is again offering the following enrichment classes: Art Journaling, Beacon Hospice Volunteer Training, The Perfect Omelet, Cooking Matters, Hunter Safety and Maine Driving Dynamics.
Certificate courses include Retail Certification, which will prepare you to work in a retail environment, by earning a certificate from the National Retail Federation. The Office Skills course will help you improve your keyboarding, Word 2013, Excel and PowerPoint skills in order to become employable in a variety of office settings.
