PORTLAND — Jerusha Chicoine of New Gloucester will be participating in the annual Polar Dip to raise money for Camp Sunshine at noon on Feb. 21 at East End Beach.

Chicoine’s son, Foster, was diagnosed with intraocular medulloepithelioma, a rare type of cancerous eye tumor, as an infant and the family has since been frequent campers at Camp Sunshine.

She participated in the Polar Dip last year for the first time, and Foster’s Fighters raised over $3,000. The team hopes to top that number this year.
