With the recent snow storm, I understand how difficult it can be to keep up with the snow removal on Lewiston’s busy streets and sidewalks. Having said that, my daughter has to walk to and from Lewiston High School every day.

As I write this (Jan. 29), there is no sidewalk for her to walk on. That means she and other students are forced to walk in the street (East Ave, Webster St., etc.)

That is very unacceptable. The safety of the children is most important and should be viewed as such. The city needs to make their safety a priority if the children are expected to be in school on such days.
