Free coffee social will be postponed
WILTON — The free coffee social at St. Luke’s Church in Wilton scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 27, will be rescheduled due to the storm.
Wilton Area Food Pantry open
WILTON — The Wilton Area Food Pantry will be open the last Saturday of each month, from 1o a.m. to noon., for Wilton residents who need to apply for food. Bring proof of residence. The pantry will be open on Jan. 31. For more information, call 645-3526.
Daughters of Isabella meeting information
JAY — On Jan. 14 the Daughters of Isabella 677 from St. Rose of Lima in Jay held their first business meeting of 2015.
The roll call of officers was read. Thank-you cards were received from Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital, Friends Together, Pauline Brochu, Food Cupboard, Tri-Town Fuel Assistance, Spruce Mountain Area Robotics Team and the Bickford Family, and a Christmas card from Anna Sawyer. Get-well cards were sent to Rosemary Poulsen and Doris Simoneau.
It was reported that the Souper Bowl of Caring will be on Feb. 1. The annual bean supper will be March 7 at the St. Rose Parish Hall.
‘Snow Moon’ moonlight walk Feb. 3
WILTON — Wilton Conservation Commission will hold its third annual Moonlight Walk at Kineowatha Park.
Celebrate the full “Snow Moon” on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at a moonlight walk with enjoyable company in Wilton’s beautiful Kineowatha Park. Young and old, and all those in between, are welcome to join the members of the Wilton Conservation Commission to explore the park’s grounds and trails along Wilson Lake.
Participants will meet at Kineowatha Park on High Street at 6:30 p.m. near the skating rink and warming shack. Participants are encouraged to bring warm boots, snowshoes or cross-country skis. No flashlights are needed as long as the sky is clear. At the end of the trek a warming fire will be available with marshmallows for toasting and hot cocoa.

Polar Blast celebration in Eustis, Stratton
EUSTIS/STRATTON — The 19th annual Polar Blast celebration will take place from Feb. 5-7. Celebrate all things winter in the villages of Eustis and Stratton, in the beautiful western mountains of Maine.
Family events include cardboard sled slide, fireworks, ice skating, horse-drawn wagon rides, chili chowder contest, silent auction, music and dancing. The largest event is Saturday’s snowmobile radar run with the chance to win $7,500 in prize money and prizes provided by local and corporate sponsors.
Local businesses and the ATSC invite all snowmobilers to come ride their miles of groomed trails.
