LEWISTON — L/A Arts has announced its live music lineup—an event first—for this year’s Ice Festival L/A, which will take place from Friday, Feb. 20-Sunday, Feb. 22, at The Bates Mill Atrium and Fountain Park courtyard, 150 Mill St. beside DaVinci’s Eatery.

Ice Festival L/A is the biggest event of its kind in the state of Maine, with over 3,000 people in attendance in 2014. This year’s third annual event will feature two dozen ice sculptures, five ice bars, food samples and food trucks, a life-sized igloo, ice carving demonstrations, and more.

The Green Ladle will prepare and serve food samples on Friday night and will feature among great local restaurants during Saturday’s general admission event. Three food sample tickets come with each ticket purchase. Additional outstanding local eateries will serve fresh specialized samples for the VIP event, and for the first time Pinky D’s and other food trucks will have warm food available for purchase at the festival.

This year’s festival represents the power of the arts and culture right here in the heart of our Twin Cities. Friday’s (5-9 p.m.) and Saturday’s (5:30-9:30 p.m.) events are for those 21 and older, and general admission tickets are $15. Saturday’s VIP event (4-5:30 p.m.) is also for those 21 and older, and tickets are $25. Tickets can be purchased at www.icefestla.com, by calling 207-782-7228, or at 221 Lisbon Street. Sunday is Family Day (11 a.m.-2 p.m.) and admission is free. Planned Sunday events include live music, winter treats, games and kid-friendly activities.
