Stuffed pork roast supper Jan. 24

PARIS — A public stuffed pork roast supper will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at VFW Post 9787.

A second sitting will be available at 5:15 p.m.

Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for ages 12 and under.

The meal is hosted by Amvets Post 777.

Senior luncheon at Anderson Staples

OXFORD — On Tuesday, Jan. 27, a senior luncheon will be held at the post home of Anderson Staples Post 112 on King Street.

The festivities will begin at noon. There will be music, cards and door prizes.

Anyone is invited to attend. A small donation will be accepted.

Strong Public Library closed Feb. 1-21

STRONG — The Strong Public Library will be closed from Feb. 1 until approximately Feb. 21 so that new carpet can be installed.

If the work is completed before the 21st, the library will reopen earlier.

Patrons are encouraged to return all items by Jan. 31.

Red Hat Mommas hold final meeting

RUMFORD — The Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine met on Jan. 8 at Brian’s Bistro with 33 members attending.

The meeting was in place of the canceled Christmas party.

It was the last get-together because, after 11 fun-filled years, the Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine are disbanding.

Birthdays were celebrated and drawings were held for gift certificates.

Money left in the treasury will be donated to local food banks and heat assistance.

MEXICO — Mexico High School Class of 1949 will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Dick’s Restaurant.
