Chesterville Grange ‘souper’ supper
CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Grange will have a public “souper” supper on Friday, Jan. 9, serving between 5 and 6:30 p.m.
Menu will include homemade soups and chowders, breads and dessert. Adults, $5; child, $2.50.

‘Comfort foods’ at Wilson Grange Hall
WILTON — “Comfort foods” will be the focus of the dinner at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at the Wilson Grange Hall on Main Street, across from Shelly’s Hometown Market in cozy little East Wilton village.
The buffet-style menu will include fish chowder, chili, with a vegetarian version, macaroni and cheese, squash, green beans, garlic bread and desserts including homemade puddings, bread pudding with raisins, custard and chocolate pudding. All the puddings will be topped with home-made whipped cream. Hot cocoa will also be served.

Spinning, knitting at Farmington Grange
FARMINGTON — The Farmington Grange will host a fiber spinning and knitting meet at the grange hall from 9:30 to noon Saturday, Jan. 10.
This meet will be an additional event to the weekly Farmers Market. People who spin, knit, crochet or make other fiber art are invited to bring their work in and enjoy a little social time with other crafters. Hot beverages will be available.
Also, if anyone has been making scarves for the special olympians, or have leftover yarn, they are invited to bring them in for a group shipment. If anyone is interested in this project, and would like to know more, they should check out details in the volunteer opportunities on the Daily Bulldog. This meet is an opportunity for anyone who would like to get started in knitting, etc.
