Last year’s Ice Fest L/A packed Fountain Park courtyard and the Atrium with over 3,000 people who enjoyed the weekend-long extravaganza. This year, Ice Fest will feature over 15 ice sculptures, five ice bars, a life-size igloo, and live music inside the Atrium. Food samples will be available from the Green Ladle and local restaurants for the general events. Local restaurants will serve specialized samples for the VIP event. Food trucks will be on site for food purchases.
The first night is a general event — from 5-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20 — and is for patrons 21-and-older who must show an ID at the door. Admission is $15 in advance.
The second night has two separate events. From 4-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, is the VIP event. It is for patrons 21-and-older and requires an ID at the door. Admission is $25 in advance and only 150 tickets are available.
Part two is a general event from 5:30-9:30 p.m. and is the same format as Friday’s event with $15 admission in advance or at the door if tickets are available, but last year’s Saturday night’s event sold out.
The final day — from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22 — is a free family day event, so bundle up the clan and head out into the fun. Keep the kids warm inside the Bates Mill Atrium where they can enjoy hot cocoa and other sweet treats, and live music. Outside in Fountain Park, watch talented carvers erect new pieces on the spot, and keep the children moving with engaging activities and games. No admission tickets are necessary for Family Day.
Tickets for Friday and Saturday events include three food sample tickets. Tickets go on sale at www.icefestla.com on Thursday, Jan. 1, and then on Monday, Jan. 5, at 207-782-7228 or 221 Lisbon St. Tickets will be sold at the door if available. Visit the site or call for more information.
