NORWAY — The Main Street Gallery, 426 Main Street, will begin its winter season with a First Friday reception from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2. The gallery will exhibit the work of fine artists and artisans living and working in Western Maine.

The jewelry of Suzie Bottomley, Western Maine Art Group’s artist of the month, will be featured. She said, “Inspired by color from the ground up, I create fun, affordable necklaces with semi-precious, glass and ceramic beads and wire. I go for balance, not symmetry. As [an] irreverent nod to Mrs. Cleaver’s pearls, they’re perfect with jeans and tee shirts while mowing the lawn, or out and about during the day.”

View the collection of original arts, mosaics, landscapes, figurative paintings, still life paintings, jewelry, and more at the gallery.

During the winter season, the gallery is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-through Saturday. For more information, visit westernmaineartgroup.org. Admission to the gallery is free and open to the public.
