The public is invited for wine and cheese and a meet and greet with the artist before The Matt Newberg CD release show for new album “Green Grass and Blue Sky” which starts at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance; $12 at the door. The evening will consist of a 30-minute solo acoustic set of the new album. Newberg’s band “Love to Burn” will follow in the second set. Newberg is a consummate performer who has shared the stage with the likes of John Hiatt and Gregg Brown.
Kate Schrock will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance; $18 at the door. Acclaimed as one of the best U.S. songwriters (Billboard Talent Net) Schrock is also one of the vanguards of the DIY movement and has been releasing records in her trademark soulful blues-, jazz-, gospel- and rock-style for nearly 20 years. Her latest release is an acoustic rendering of back catalogue favorites. Joining Schrock will be Glen DaCosta former member of the legendary Bob Marley and The Wailers.
Good Theater will present “Regrets Only” from Jan. 28-Feb. 22. The show is a big, over-the-top comedy that is a perfect way to chase off the winter blues. Tickets are $25-$40.
Albert Lee with special guests Atlas Gray will perform at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9. Tickets are $25. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Lee made his name touring with the likes of Eric Clapton, The Everly Brothers and Emmylou Harris’ Hot Band through the 1970s and ’80s, but has maintained a highly devoted fanbase. He is respected as much for his unparalleled picking style as well as his upbeat attitude.
