AUBURN — Police were investigating a family dispute Friday that left one man with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Just after 6 a.m., police said, officers were told that a man had driven himself to Central Maine Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police said the man, Scott Jordan, 46, of Auburn, had driven to his stepbrother’s house at 3000 Hotel Road where they had an altercation.

Police identified the stepbrother as 43-year-old David Strout.

According to police, a handgun was discharged during the dispute and Jordan was wounded in the leg. Police did not say who fired the shot.

The incident remained under investigation later Friday night. No charges were filed.
