NEW SHARON — A local couple was arrested Friday after a company claimed the two had charged more than $6,000 on its credit card, Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said in his weekly report.

Deputy Matthew Brann began an investigation after a representative of Dube Environmental in Sidney claimed worker Daniel Villacci of 147 Lane Road in New Sharon had made the charges, he said.

Villacci, 28, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of theft and violation of condition of release. His fiancee, Tabatha Schoubroek, 30, was arrested on a felony charge of theft and a misdemeanor charge of violation of conditions of release, Nichols said.

They were taken to the Franklin County jail in Farmington.

Villacci posted $200 cash bail to be released later on Friday. Schoubroek is being held without bail, a corrections officer said.

The couple was accused earlier this year in a heroin case after children found the two unresponsive at their home on Farmington Falls Road, where they lived at the time.
