LEWISTON — The head of St. Mary’s Health System will retire next year.
President and CEO Lee Myles, 63, plans to leave the health system by the end of 2015.
Myles joined St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in 1992 as vice president and chief operating officer. He became CEO of the hospital in 2006 and was named head of the entire St. Mary’s Health System in 2010.
The chairman of St. Mary’s board of directors and the head of Covenant Health Systems, St. Mary’s parent company, will appoint a search committee to find Myles’ replacement. That committee will include board members and St. Mary’s doctors. Officials believe the search could take up to nine months.
Myles said he is exploring volunteer opportunities following retirement.
