Season outlook: The EL boys’ won the KVAC title and finished fourth at the state meet. The boys are young but promising. The Red Eddies are fairly balanced in all three track disciplines but could be strongest in the sprints and pole vault. Martin and Morissette are a strong pair in the sprints and jumps while Chase Frahn is a scorer in sprints and the pole vault.
The girls’ team finished seventh in the KVAC meet and 17th in the state meet. The girls only graduated a few of their top point-getters from last year. The hope is that the team can score higher in the championship meets this year. Norcross and Beaudet are strong in the sprints and jumps. That could be the strength of the team this season. Lane is strong in the distance events and should have some success there.
