FARMINGTON — A new marketing workshop, Top 10 Ways to Market Your Business Online, will be offered by the Maine Woods Tourism Training initiative in conjunction with the Franklin County Tourism Network.
The workshop will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, in CR 123 of the Olson Student Center at the University of Maine at Farmington. Cost is $15 per person.
The presenter is Brenna Herridge of Dream Local Digital. She will outline the top 10 ways small business owners can market themselves online, including the social media platforms, blogs and website options. She will also include real-world examples and the importance of marketing a tourism-related business online.
Herridge started her career at American Express Corporate Services in 1996, specializing in corporate business travel sales and incentive travel services. She moved into hotel sales and management. For the past four years she has worked as director of group sales for Pyramid Hotel Group at Point Lookout Resort and Conference Center.
She is a business development manager for Dream Local Digital, working in the sales department developing new relationships with local businesses.
The workshop is part of the Maine Woods Tourism Training Initiative, a project of the Maine Woods Consortium in partnership with Greater Franklin Development Corp. and the Franklin County Tourism Network.
