Heywood Club to meet Dec. 8
PARIS — The next meeting of the Heywood Club of Norway will be held on Monday, Dec. 8, at Market Square Restaurant for their annual Christmas party.
Social time starts at 5 p.m. followed by dinner at 6 p.m. Members will be able to order off the menu, and will be responsible to pay for their own beverages and meals.
In lieu of gifts, members are asked to bring a monetary donation that will be collected and donated to a needy cause. The event will still be held, even if it’s bad weather, unless the restaurant is closed.

Oxford Hist. Society Christmas meeting
OXFORD — Oxford Historical Society will hold their Christmas meeting at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at the Kay House. All who plan to attend are asked to bring an unwrapped gift for a child. A cookie walk will be held and Christmas music will be provided. As always visitors are welcome.
AARP to hold holiday meeting
PARIS — The holiday meeting of the Oxford Hills Chapter of AARP will be held on Monday, Dec. 8, at the First Congregational Church on East Main Street.
Lunch will be served at noon and reservations are required by calling Ruth at 744-9069 by Friday, Dec. 5. Chicken pie is on the menu and the cost is $7.
The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. and members are reminded to bring volunteer hours for the year.
Donations to the Food Pantry will be appreciated.
There will be no meeting in January and the program committee would welcome any ideas for future programs.
The winter weather cancellation policy is to meet the following day, Tuesday, during December, February and March. Cancellations will be announced on radio station WOXO 92.7 or if school has been cancelled.
Congre. Church to have raffle table at fair
BUCKFIELD — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will have a raffle table at the Holiday Fair at Buckfield Junior Senior High School on Route 140 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

Duplicate Bridge Club results
OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Nov. 28. A three and a half table Howell movement was enjoyed.
Finishing first in flight A were Neenie Kivus (Lewiston) and David Lock (Greene); second, Hazel Glazier (Norway) and Rick Verrill (Gorham), who also were first in flight B; third in flight A, Rosemarie Goodwin (Lewiston) and Mike True (Auburn); fourth, Marta Clements (Woodstock) and Bruce Clements (Weir, N.H.).
Second in flight B were Cynthia and Bill Clifford Jr. (Lewiston), third were Carol Curran (Waterford) and Cathy Sanderson (Waterford).
