Cribbage League: No game Thursday

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners at the Lewiston Memorial Armory on Nov. 20 were: first, Anna Faucher and Dick Laplante; second, Norm Bissonnette and Dennis Gosselin; third, Cecile Bussiere and Pauline Quimby; fourth, Fran St. Pierre and Don Haley; fifth, Vicki Thayer Adams and Dwight Webb.

Note the time change: There will be no game on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.

Danville Grange potluck supper

AUBURN — Members of Danville Junction Grange will meet for a potluck supper at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28. The business meeting will follow at 7 p.m.

Study on Bible Saints of Christmas

AUBURN — Bible Saints of Christmas is a four-week study that will start Nov. 30 at about 11:30 a.m. at the Auburn United Methodist Church.

Would you like to meet some of the faithful who prepared the way for the birth of Christ? Attendees will study the relevant portions of the book “Christ in His Saints” by Rev. Patrick Henry Reardon. Bring your own lunch.

MSAD 52 to offer CNA class soon

TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult Education currently has openings for its next CNA class starting early December. If you have been considering taking a step to change your future in the health care field, now is the time.

The CNA course is designed to provide the experience and skills necessary to become Maine State Certified.

Candidates must have an interest in the health care field, be dedicated, hard working, reliable and compassionate.

Ark plans game night, cooking class

LEWISTON — ARK Squad will hold its 5K Event-Game Night at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4. There will be waffles with toppings.

There is no fee and registration is not required.

A free cooking class, “Healthy Holiday Entertaining,” with Cheryl Farley, nutritionist, will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15.

United Methodist Christmas Concert

AUBURN — The annual United Methodist Church Christmas Concert will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, with performances at 2 and 7 p.m. at 439 Park Ave.

Cookies and punch will be served after after the 2 p.m. concert and assorted pies and coffee after the 7 p.m. concert.

The concert includes a wide variety of talented musicians and a wide variety of Christmas music. There is no charge for admission.

Poland Community Church plans fair

POLAND — Poland Community Church will host its annual Christmas Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at 1212 Maine St., Route 26.
