The band has added several new selections to the holiday concert including “Carol of the Bells” arranged by Sean O’Loughlin, “Italian in Algiers” by G. Rossini and arranged by Lucien Cailjiet, features the oboe, clarinets and flutes; and “We Wish You a Mambo Christmas” arranged by Erik Morales features the percussion section with drumming, bells, cowbells.
Traditional songs include “A Most Wonderful Christmas” arranged by Robert Sheldon, and “Fanfare and Procession on an Old English Carol” by Robert Smith. This one features the brass section.
And the Christmas concert wouldn’t be complete without a crowd favorite “Sleigh Ride” by Leroy Anderson. Refreshments following the concert allow time to visit with the musicians. Donations help with music and instrument purchases and ongoing costs to run the volunteer community band.
