PORTLAND — The victim of a Friday night homicide at a Brighton Avenue apartment was a 23-year-old man who did not reside there, police said Saturday.
An autopsy conducted on Saturday showed that Richard Lobor of Portland died from a single gunshot wound. Responding officers arrived at the 214 Brighton Ave. residence a little after 9 p.m., finding the victim but not a suspect, police said.
Assistant Police Chief Vern Malloch said in a news release issued later Friday night that the incident remains under investigation and the perpetrator is not believed to be in the area.
Gregg Lagerquist, an anchor with BDN media partner WGME-CBS 13, posted on Twitter on Friday night that police were looking for a black Chevy Impala. Police also closed off part of Brighton Avenue, he said.
Police have yet to release a description of the suspect.
