PARIS — The Oxford County Soil & Water Conservation District and the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service invite the public to attend a meeting of the Oxford County USDA Local Working Group from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Oxford County Extension Office, 9 Olson Road.
The Local Working Group will provide recommendations of priorities for the 2015 and 2016 Environmental Quality Incentive Program cost-share contracts. NRCS will also accept comments on local natural resource priorities and criteria for conservation activities and programs.
Topics of discussion in Oxford County will include: ag waste, forestry, pastureland, cropland and high tunnels. Other issues and areas of concern can be discussed as well, and a list will be compiled of priorities recognized by this group.
