ST. FRANCIS — The state fire marshal’s office says a fire in northern Maine has claimed a man’s life.

Officials say the fire broke out Wednesday morning in the man’s home on Main Street in the town of St. Francis, west of Fort Kent.

Investigators were seeking to determine how the fire started. The victim’s name wasn’t immediately released.
