LEWISTON — School Committee regular meeting followed by proficiency based learning workshop, 6:45 p.m., Dingley Building.

TUESDAY, Nov. 18

LEWISTON — School Department Redistricting Committee meeting at Farwell Elementary School to hear from Farwell community on what kind of new school to build to replace Martel Elementary, 6 p.m.

LEWISTON — City Council workshop and regular meeting. The Workshop is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and the agenda covers a review of a proposed agreement giving the city control of the downtown canals. The regular meeting begins at 7 p.m. and includes a review of the city’s process for citizen initiatives.

LEWISTON — Poetry reading with Maine Poet Laureate Wesley McNair, 6:30 p.m. McNair will read from his latest collection, “The Lost Child,” at Lewiston Public Library’s Callahan Hall, free.
