Rumford Seniors meet Nov. 20
RUMFORD — The Rumford Seniors membership meeting will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, because the regular date falls on Thanksgiving.
The Board of Directors will meet at 9:30 a.m. Please note the time change.
The seniors’ Christmas party will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the American Legion in Rumford.
Entertainment will be provided by Noel Palmer. There will be a 50/50 drawing as well as door prizes. Cost is $12.

Wreath, cookie, fudge sale is Nov. 29
NORWAY — Christmas wreaths, tins of homemade cookies and fudge will be sold from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St.
All proceeds will benefit the many missions of the church.

Library plans craft, bake sale
NEW VINEYARD — The New Vineyard Public Library’s annual holiday craft and bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Smith Hall.
Hand-crafted items included wreaths and kissing balls, note cards, knit goods, pottery and more.
Enjoy mulled cider and doughnuts while you browse. Crafters who would like to reserve a table should call Sandy Bestwick at the library, 652-2250.
Reich documentary Kickstarter
RANGELEY — Since Oct. 21, the Wilhelm Reich Museum has been part of an online Kickstarter campaign to raise money for the Wilhelm Reich Documentary Film Project.
This full-length documentary will be the first thoroughly researched and factually accurate film narrative of renowned psychiatrist, research physician and scientist Wilhelm Reich, whose published books and research journals were banned and burned by the United States government in 1956 and 1960 in what was one of the most heinous examples of censorship in American history.

Shopper needed for lunch program
NORWAY — The Free Community Lunch Program in Norway is in need of a Good Shepherd Food-Bank shopper.
The volunteer position requires someone who can go to Auburn once a week during the day to buy meat, produce and supplies for the lunch program.

Free Thanksgiving dinner in Farmington
FARMINGTON — A free traditional Thanksgiving dinner, sponsored by the Scottish Rite Masons of Augusta Valley, will be held Thanksgiving day, Thursday, Nov. 27.
It will be served at the Mt. Blue High School food court from noon to 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
A reservation must be made for meals to be delivered and takeouts by Monday, Nov. 24. Organizers would appreciate a call from those eating the dinner at the food court, also. Call Gerry Gilman at 649-5449 or Nancy Lake at 491-4287.
Annual Thanksgiving bake sale
FARMINGTON — The annual Thanksgiving bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 26, at Pinewood Terrace, 136 Rosewood Drive (out behind the fairgrounds).
Items will include pies, cookies, whoopie pies, yeast rolls, quick breads, fudge and other assorted baked goods.
The group is a nonprofit organization. The proceeds from the sale will benefit the residents activity program.
