NORWAY — A transgender information/training will be held on Monday, November 18 from 2-5 p.m. at the First Universalist Church, 479 Main St. Norway. Suggested donation is $5-$20; if you have questions, please call Sarah Shepley-890-4960 or Joan Beal -744-9031. The training will last two hours and is geared toward the general community. This training seeks to introduce you to the transgender community, and broaden your understanding of the trans experience. During this two-hour training, you will learn basic terminology and theories about gender identity, do’s and don’t when interacting with trans people, best practices when asking pronouns, and the pillars of ally-ship. A question and answer period will follow.
