- Cody Michaud, 11, of Monmouth shot his first deer on Saturday, Nov. 8, using his great grandfather’s .308 rifle. Cody’s goal this hunting season was to shoot his first deer at 11 just like his great grandfather. Hank Trueworthy of Winn bagged his deeer 82 years ago. Michaud was hunting with his grandfather Don in Minot. Cody is the son of Bob and Melissa Michaud of Monmouth.
