Classically trained, Kennedy creates contemporary solo piano pieces that spring from his love of jazz and rock and from his sense of humor. He has won the hearts and ears of music lovers in the Farmington area who attended his performances in Nordica in prior years.
His album, “Intuition,” peaked at #7 on the ZMR Top 100 Chart. Kennedy also garnered an RNA Video of the Month award for his nature-based video “Could Be.” He lives in an 1860 farmhouse with his wife and their two children. His wife is the daughter of Bob Healy of New Vineyard, a long-time volunteer in Honduras. Kennedy has made a tradition of supporting the work in Honduras with his musical gift. Suggested donation for the concert is $10.
Donations received at this concert will help local volunteers buy materials to build more than 20 sanitary latrines in the extremely poor village of El Junco, Honduras. The latrines were requested by residents of that village in a community meeting to determine their most pressing needs that Maine UCC volunteers might address. Donations can be made at the concert or by mail to FAHP c/o Marilyn Wegner, 265 McCrillis Corner Road, Wilton, ME 04294.
