I am very disappointed that the majority of voters in the great state of Maine voted to continue torturing bears for fun. There’s no sugar coating it.

Cruelty to animals is against the law, punishable by fines and, in the most severe cases, jail time. I guess the law protects only some animals.

Where is the humanity?

And to top it all off, Maine gets four more years of Paul LePage (which was not a majority vote — again). At least, when he makes a mockery of his role as governor again, I can proudly say “I didn’t vote for him.”

Nov. 4 was a sad day for many.
