FARMINGTON — RSU 9 school directors voted Monday to expel a Mt. Blue High School senior for selling a marijuana brownie to a student on a school bus, Superintendent Tom Ward said Wednesday.
“The student was expelled for trafficking marijuana brownies,” he said. “The student has to follow the re-entry program we have set up that will include counseling, keeping up on their school work, community service, going through our drug/alcohol course and agreeing to a blood test before re-entry.”
Once the student feels they have met the requirements of the re-entry plan, the student will meet with the superintendent.
Ward will determine if the student is ready to meet with the Board of Directors and request readmission to the school.
Directors also voted that the student will have access to adult education on Mt. Blue Campus, which is where the high school is located, if needed, he said.
