The list of challenges facing the state of Maine through the coming years is a long one, from education to infrastructure and opportunities for business and keeping ourselves healthy. In order to come up with viable solutions, elected representatives need to be able to listen to their constituents and to each other.
John Cleveland has a long and distinguished record of working hard for the people of Maine. He cares deeply about this community, and has shown himself willing and able to work across the aisle to get important legislation passed.
Together with Republic counterparts, he ensured the successful passage of the Omnibus Energy Bill, which charts an important course for Maine to bring down energy costs and move toward a sustainable future.
This community and state needs his ethic of compassion and pragmatism.
We will be supporting John Cleveland on Nov. 4.
