BATH — The talented duo of Jay Basiner and Andrew Martelle, nominated this year for a New England Music Award, are coming to the Chocolate Church Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, for an evening of authentic heartland music.

North of Nashville’s blend of fiddle, mandolin, guitar and harmonica brings music lovers a new sound that critics have called “a cross between Waylon Jennings and Mumford & Son.”

The two discovered their unique sound resonated with country music lovers when they began doing outside gigs several years ago while performing with the well-known Portland band, This Way.

They struck off on their own two years ago, delighting not only Maine audiences, but New York and Boston audiences as well.

Tickets, available at www.chocolatechurcharts.com or 207-442-8455, are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. The Chocolate Church is at 804 Washington Street.
