October offerings

Starting or Growing A Small Business – Introduction to the Business Model Canvas, a one-page template demonstration: Discover a new and different way to outline how your business works. Appropriate for entrepreneurs just starting or current business owners. One class, 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21. Cost $25.

The Perfect Omelette!: In the tradition of Julia Child and as served in the renowned Cafe L’Etoile at Macy’s in Herald Square, NYC, learn how to make the traditional French omelette. This will be held at the cafeteria in the Central Office, 9 Cedar St. One class, 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22. Cost $10.

November offerings

Microsoft Excel: Learn how to set up, design and complete a spreadsheet using basic applications. This is a four-week class on Tuesdays starting Nov. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m.

December offerings

Self-Care Through Ayurveda: Discover ways to create health through the tradition of Ayurveda, the Science of Life. Bring paper and pen. One class from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2. Cost $15.

Maine Driving Dynamics: This course offers all drivers the opportunity to improve their defensive driving skills. Instruction will cover collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitude. Those completing the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record. Two classes, Tuesday, Dec. 2, and Thursday, Dec. 4, from 6 to 8:20 p.m. Cost $40 for 64 and younger, $10 for 65 and older.

Microsoft PowerPoint and Publisher: These classes are designed for the novice user and for those transitioning to the latest upgrades and enhancements. The four-week class will be held on Tuesdays starting Dec. 16, from 4 to 7 p.m.
