1948 – 2014

BANGOR — Stephen Henry Haggerty, 66, of Simpson Road in Westfield, died of heart failure in Bangor on Thursday, Oct. 9.

He was born on Feb. 16, 1948, a son of the late Henry H. Haggerty and Letha M. (Bates) Haggerty.

Stephen was a retired carpenter and contractor. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing. He was a true New England sports fan and loved the Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins and Patriots. Stephen was an enthusiastic man who loved spending time at his camp on Burntland Stream.

Stephen is survived by his mother, Letha, of Auburn; three sons, Scott and his wife, Deborah, of Presque Isle, Stewart of Lewiston and Benjamin of Presque Isle; grandsons, Zack and Hunter of Presque Isle; brother, Jeff and his wife, Carmen, of Auburn; nephews, Sean, Ryan and Colby; niece, Natalie; and his partner, Holly Carter; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
