Travis Blackmer, a graduate student at the University of Maine, is conducting an online survey about Municipal Solid Waste, and public input is being sought.

This survey focuses on citizens’ attitudes and behaviors regarding waste. Effectiveness, public perception, information availability, behavioral changes, and general beliefs about the waste stream are the general focus of the survey. The survey also takes a deeper look at Pay-As-You-Throw programs and how citizens behave in response to, and their attitudes regarding, PAYT.

The survey, which is athttp://tinyurl.com/PayAsYouThrowWebSurvey, takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. There will be two $75 gift certificates to L.L. Bean raffled off as compensation for participation.
