AUGUSTA (AP) — Maine officials say that peak fall colors have reached much of northern and western parts of the state.
In its weekly fall foliage report, the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry says that peak leaf color is being seen from Bangor up north to Fort Kent. Leaf colors have also reached their peak in western Maine, including Rangeley, Greenville and Jackman.
Leaf drop is low throughout most of Maine and moderate in the far northern part of the state.
The department has said that peak conditions are typically seen along the coast between Oct. 13 and 25.
