PORTLAND (AP) — A Maine government survey says the average price of heating oil in the state has dropped 6 cents from earlier this month to $3.32 per gallon.

The Governor’s Energy Office said Tuesday that the average statewide price for a gallon of heating oil ranged from $3.00 to $3.60. It also found the average price of kerosene was the same as it was in the middle of last month at $3.88 per gallon. The average propane price is now $2.83, a 2-cent drop per gallon from a month ago. Heating oil and kerosene are both less expensive than last August, while propane is 13 cents more expensive.

The survey found that the current price for heating oil is the lowest on record since June 2012.
