MINOT — Maine State Police have announced they made a third arrest in the Aug. 2 home invasion at 340 Garfield Road.
Police arrested Ishmael Douglas, 27, of Boston on Friday night. Douglas was charged with robbery and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and taken to the Kennebec County Jail.
According to state police Lt. Walter Grzyb, troopers found the victims, who fled the house, and identified them as Cyril Anduze of Auburn, Jamel Horrobin of New York, N.Y., and Rullah James, also of New York. All three had minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
The men told police they were at Ross Tardif’s home at 340 Garfield Road when three armed and masked men broke in and assaulted and robbed them.
Tardif, 28, was not there at the time, police said. However, according to Auburn police, Tardif was arrested at 11:15 p.m. at the house and charged with aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs.
Police received a report at 11 p.m. Saturday of people with guns assaulting people inside the house. During the investigation, drugs, money and firearms were seized, according to police.
Troopers were assisted by members of Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Auburn Police Department.
Previously, Victor Lara, 30, of Augusta and Kourtney Williams, 24, of Boston were arrested and charged with robbery and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, according to statement issued by state police. Both were taken to the Androscoggin County Jail. A fourth person believed to have driven to and from the robbery has been interviewed. Charges are likely but have not yet been filed.
Several law enforcement agencies took part in the investigation, including the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the police departments of Auburn, Lewiston and Augusta.
