AUGUSTA — All things Maine will be celebrated this weekend at the Big E fair in Massachusetts.
Saturday is Maine Day at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Mass., which bills itself as the largest fair in the Northeast.
Maine officials, companies and organizations will be showing off the state’s food, products and industries at exhibits. Down East humorist Tim Sample and several Maine bands will also be preforming.
More than 1.5 million people attended the 17-day-long fair last year, setting a new record. Maine officials say that nearly 161,000 people visited the fair during Maine Day in 2013.
