I agree with Trudy Jacqmin’s letter (Sept. 12) that John Cleveland should “refund the quarter of a million dollars he has over-billed Poland since 2006.” I am ashamed of his use of political connections to line his own pocket. It is definitely time for a change.

It is time to get rid of all those career politicians and elect a new, energetic, young person with new, young ideas to Augusta.

The voters of Auburn, Minot, New Gloucester and Poland have a real choice this year — continue the old politics of the past, or look to a future generation of leadership.

I will be voting for Eric Brakey in November, because Maine residents need real hope and change in Augusta, not the same old politically connected, party line, big government ideologues.

George Mathews, Auburn
