1930 – 2014
MINOT— Harold T. Nason, 84 of Garfield Road, Minot, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, at his home after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Auburn on July 26, 1930, son of the late John and Gladys Parker Nason. He was educated in Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School in 1949.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Harold was employed for many years at Eastern Airlines in Florida, but mostly in Boston as a ramp service attendant. He was a hard worker, having worked since the age of 12 and even after retirement, he started his own mobile pressure-washing business, which he owned and operated for several years.
Harold will be remembered as a kindhearted person who loved everybody.
He is survived by a daughter, Debra Nason of Minot; a son, Timothy Nason and his fiancée, Debora Berry, of Turner; four grandchildren, Aliyah, Ariel, Alexis and Jordan Gregory of Minot; a sister, Arlene Johnson of Poland; four brothers, John Nason and wife, Charlene, of Minot, Robert Nason of Auburn, Richard Nason of Minot and Donald Nason of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his former wife, Geraldine Mahoney; a sister, Barbara Leighton; and a brother, Albert Nason.
His family extends special thanks to the staff at Beacon Hospice for their compassionate care of Harold.
