Community Credit Union of Auburn and Lewiston recently presented the Turner Food Pantry with a donation of $320. The pantry is in Boofy Quimby Memorial Center in North Turner and is staffed by volunteers from the North Turner Union Presbyterian Church, who offer food to low-income individuals and families. Individuals interested in the program need to contact the Turner Town Office for eligibility by calling 255-3414. The donation by the credit union, which will soon open a branch in Turner, is part of the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger. At the donation ceremony were Community Credit Union personnel, from left, Laurie Pelletier, Auburn Branch manager; Betsy Sibley, marketing director; Natalie Green, ACH coordinator; and Kerry Wood, president/CEO.
