BETHEL — Deliah Schrieber erupted for five goals, giving her eight already on the young season, in Lisbon’s 9-0 MVC girls’ soccer verdict Wednesday over Telstar.
Schrieber scored four consecutive goals in a span of 9:43 to give Lisbon a 6-0 halftime lead. She sandwiched the fifth between goals by Kailyn Hill and Kaylin Le in the second half.
Emma Houle and Loren Grant started the scoring for the Greyhounds (2-0).
Jasmine Le of Lisbon and Tehya Johnson of Telstar (0-2) each made five saves.
Mtn. Valley 2, Mt. Abram 0
SALEM — Sarah Klein scored both goals for Mountain Valley in a 2-0 MVC girls’ soccer victory over Mt. Abram.
With 23:47 remaining in the first half, Sarah Klein’s shot from the top right corner of the penalty area floated past the goalkeeper. Then with 32:51 remaining in the game, Klein kicked home a rebound.
Abby Brackley made 10 saves for the Roadrunners (0-3). Karen Flaherty smothered three shots to help the Falcons (1-1) protect the shutout.
Madison 2, St. Dom’s 1
MADISON — Sydney LeBlanc scored with 30 seconds left in regulation Wednesday, boosting Madison to a 2-1 MVC girls’ soccer victory over St. Dom’s.
Kayla Bess also had a goal for the Bulldogs (2-0) after Emily Caron supplied the Saints (1-1) an early lead.
Hall-Dale 4, Winthrop 1
FARMINGDALE — Thea Sweet and Lilly Ly each had a goal and an assist Wednesday, hoisting Hall-Dale past Winthrop, 4-1, in MVC girls’ soccer.
Signe Lynch and Eva Shepherd also scored for the Bulldogs (1-1). Shie Smith scored an unassisted goal to put Winthrop (0-2) on the board and tie the game before Hall-Dale rattled off three consecutive strikes to put it away.
Winthrop’s Brooke Dufour made 19 saves.
Dirigo 4, Boothbay 1
BOOTHBAY HARBOR — Summer Keim registered a hat trick and Ellie Jasper put away a header off a beautiful cross from Kaitlin Morang to account for the Dirigo goals in a 4-1 MVC girls’ soccer victory over Boothbay.
Gabby Scott and Jillian Conant were defensive standouts for Dirigo, breaking up several Boothbay opportunities before they were able to solidify.
Mariah LaFleur made five saves for Dirigo, which scored four consecutive goals before Sinead Miller got the Seahawks into the scoring column with seven minutes to go.
The Cougars were able to control the midfield and jump out to a 4-0 lead before the Seahawks answered with a goal of their own with seven minutes remaining. Summer Keim registered a hat trick and Ellie Jasper put away a header off of a beautiful cross from Kaitlin Morang to account for the Cougars’ goals. Gabby Scott and Jillian Conant were defensive standouts for Dirigo on the day, breaking up several Boothbay opportunities before they were able to solidify.

Mtn. Valley 2, Hall-Dale 0
RUMFORD — Alyvia Lee and Marissa Crosby each scored a goal Wednesday for Mountain Valley, which evened its mark in MVC field hockey with a 2-0 shutout of Hall-Dale.
Lexy Duguay and Liza White notched the assists for the Falcons (2-2). Kassie Thibodeau made 10 saves. Molly French stopped 19 shots for the Bulldogs (0-3).
Oak Hill 7, Dirigo 1
DIXFIELD — Oak Hill spotted Dirigo the lead before scoring seven unanswered goals Wednesday in a 7-1 MVC field hockey win.
Kylee Veilleux knocked in three goals for the Raiders (4-0). Hayley Marshall added two goals to go with an assist. Sadie Goulet supplemented the scoring with a goal and three assists. Danielle Samson also rattled the cage for the Raiders.
Emma Lueders scored for the Cougars (0-3-1) less than five minutes into the game, assisted by Ellen Wainwright.
Oak Hill outshot Dirigo by a 35-5 margin. Morgan Morrow made 28 saves for the Cougars.
Winthrop 1, Telstar 0
BETHEL — Julie McConnell scored with 25:29 remaining in the game Wednesday, and it held up as the winning margin in Winthrop’s 1-0 MVC field hockey triumph over Telstar.
Corinna Coulton of Winthrop (2-1) made eight saves in the shutout. Meg Glover knocked away nine shots for the Rebels (2-1).
Boothbay 2, St. Dom’s 1
AUBURN — Logan Ronan’s late goal spark a comeback bid for St. Dom’s on Wednesday, but the Saints fell just short in a 2-1 MVC field hockey loss to Boothbay.
Jessica Boulet assisted the Saints’ goal with 9:31 remaining.
Sydney Meader and Page Brown supplied unassisted goals for the Seahawks (1-1) before the Saints rallied. Taylor Bergeron made nine saves for St. Dom’s. Boothbay’s Elizabeth Ham turned away 11.
College Soccer
Unity 1, CMCC 0
AUBURN — Central Maine Community College hosted its first men’s soccer match of the year against Unity College, falling 1-0 Wednesday.
Unity’s Will Desmarais scored the lone goal of the game just over five minutes into the match on superb unassisted individual effort.
The Mustangs had several chances over the next 84 minutes with 19 shots, but Unity’s Brendan Wallace made 11 saves to guard the goose egg.
Captain Chad Allen and Kaleb Davis played well defensively for the Mustangs, while Abdillahi Hussein was impressive on the wing. CMCC goalkeeper Dustin Sullivan tallied seven saves to keep the game close.
With the win, Unity improves to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the Yankee Conference. CM falls to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
UNE 3, UMF 0
BIDDEFORD — The University of New England Nor’easters controlled play from start-to-finish on their way to a 3-0 shutout of the University of Maine Farmington in non-conference men’s soccer action Wednesday afternoon.
The Nor’easters, who won their third consecutive meeting between the two teams, extended their season-opening unbeaten streak to three matches in improving their record to 2-0-1. The contest was the first of the year for the Beavers.
Dexter Doucet, Matthew Christie and Will Bushey scored for UNE. Ronie Morales came up with nine stops in the UMF net.
Thomas 1, Bates 0
WATERVILLE —Tre Ming scored the lone goal for Thomas, putting home a penalty kick late in the second half to give the Terriers a 1-0 men’s soccer win over Bates on Wednesday night.
Winston Trott made a tremendous diving stop on a header by Nicolas Visser to guard his first career shutout. Trott made eight saves. Bobcats goalie Sam Polito faced four shots on the night, stopping three.
