I wonder why Eliot Cutler is running for governor. In 2010, he had only enough support to defeat the Democratic candidate, while Paul LePage won with 38 percent of the total vote.

Cutler favors more debates. But Michaud, LePage and Cutler have already agreed on approximately six. Does the public need more?

What exactly has Cutler accomplished as an “attorney” or “businessman”? What is the source of his wealth that supports his candidacy? What has he contributed to ongoing Maine debates over any public issue? Has he voted in local elections?

Has Cutler been promised anything in a second LePage administration?

Mike Michaud has publicly debated the issues for years. Reaching across the aisle, he solves problems and resolves conflicts. We need someone in Augusta with a true track record, not a spoiler with an old resume.

A vote for Cutler is a vote for LePage.
