Daniel Perkins

MONMOUTH — Charles Jacobs and Rebecca Stanley of Monmouth have announced the engagement of their daughter and stepdaughter, Lauren Jacobs of Old Town, to Daniel Perkins also of Old Town, son of James Perkins and Theresa Kerchner of Wayne. Miss Jacobs is the daughter of the late Linda Smith Dyer.

She is a graduate of Gould Academy and Bates College, where she received a degree in English. She is employed by the Maine Winter Sports Center.

Mr. Perkins is a graduate of Maranacook High School and is completing his studies in forestry at the University of Maine in Orono. He is currently employed as a seasonal member of the fire crew at Acadia National Park.

An October wedding is planned.
