In the summer edition of “NEA Today,” a retired teachers’ publication, I read that Gov. Paul LePage is listed as one of the nation’s worst governors with regard to supporting education. It stated, “Paul LePage (Maine) cut education funding by $12.5 million while handing $200 million in tax cuts to Maine’s wealthy.”

Gov. LePage’s disrespect for education and teachers is highlighted in his act to cut teachers’ retirement pay. I am one of those whose retirement salary has been cut in order to help finance LePage’s tax cuts for the wealthy.

For the sake of Maine’s future, voters cannot allow that man to continue as governor for another four years.

My vote will go to Mike Michaud.
