KINGFIELD — Chef Jordan Rolleston and staff welcome visitors to the second annual Harvest at the Hut event on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Stratton Brook Hut of the Maine Huts & Trails. The five-course meal will include hors d’oeuvres, soup, salad, pasta, entree and dessert.

“We are committed to sourcing food and services from the local region, and this event is our chance to showcase the wonderful foods grown here in western Maine,” said Charlie Woodworth, executive director of the Maine Huts & Trails. “This event was a huge success last year, and our staff is looking forward to delighting our guests with another marvelous culinary experience again this year. The food will be delicious, the setting is always beautiful and the people are engaging. It’s hard to beat.”

Event guests will be treated to the beautiful views and comfort of the Stratton Brook Hut while savoring locally-sourced and in-season fall foods to celebrate the beginning of fall in Maine’s western mountains.

Set on the shoulder of the dramatic Bigelow Range, the Stratton Brook Hut is easily accessed from the parking lot on Route 27 across from the Sugarloaf USA access road.

Harvest at the Hut event registration is $130 for members or $140 for nonmembers (plus tax) and includes dinner, overnight accommodations, breakfast and lunch the following day.
